LEARN MORE
With specialized training in non-profit leadership, organizational and strategic planning, financial management, and policy analysis, we’ll connect the dots of managing complex challenges in health, social service, and educational organizations. Drawing from past experience that spans multiple provinces and diverse landscapes, including the needs and experiences of Indigenous and newcomer communities, we’ll work together to develop sustainable and high impact strategies that help you and your organization grow and thrive.
Strategic and Operational Planning
Strategic and Operational Planning are essential to guiding non-profits towards their mission while helping divide the work of the Board of Directors and Staff. Taking a data-driven approach to strategic and operational planning ensures you are guided by evidence and grounded in the needs of the communities you serve. Strategic and operational planning processes are customizable to the size, needs, and budget of your organization. In all cases, clients will be provided with a record of the work, raw data, public facing versions of each plan (if necessary) and tools/templates that can be used by the organization to ensure plans are used and implemented.
Policy Development
Organizational policies in non-profit environments are crucial to managing risk and to responding equitably and fairly in complex situations. Drawing from a range of policy analysis methods, including equity-based audits and reviews, decolonizing/Indigenizing approaches, and community-based engagement methods, we’ll work together to ensure that your policy framework reflects the needs and risk landscape of the work you do now. Clients will receive written draft policies for approval as well as a policy strategy for future policy development work.
Organizational Development
All non-profits change over time, however, not all non-profits have the time or energy to adapt to the anticipated and unanticipated shifts in routine business. Organizational development involves everything from reviewing your organizational chart to complete program, structure, and risk/compliance audits at the Board and Operational levels. Let’s work together to apply a systems approach to strengthening your organization and crossing some big tasks off your to-do list!
Fund Development
The practice of fund development involves everything from individual donor cultivation to grant writing, proposal development, sponsorship acquisition, and the exploration of social enterprises. The aim is to increase your organization’s financial bandwidth by identifying gaps in resources and developing sustainable funding pathways that respond to the needs of your community while staying aligned to the mission of your organization.
